The Devere Hotel, New Place, Southampton has agreed to sponsor the Wine-Tasting Extravaganza and has supplied us with a discount rate on hotel accomodation for the evening of the event on Friday 19 August 2011.
You’ll need a code from me to book the room
It looks like I’m getting nearer to sorting out the big challenge for 2011. I’ll be able to give more info on that as soon as the website goes live which will be when I finally complete the text and send it over to Dotty to upload.
I have now confirmed 2 of my team member who will be joining me, they are Gareth Allen of Physio 2 Fit and Joe Billett of Hill Park Farm Caravan Site
They are both experienced and qualified Kayakers so if nothing else they’ll be able to tow me round if I run out of puff!
I’m in London today, came up on the train from Southampton yesterday and stayed at the fantastic MIC Hotel at Euston. Great rooms, really quiet and a breakfast to really fill your tummy!
I’ve already had a quick cup of coffee with Ava (Ava Easton, CEO of the Encephalitis Society) and now she has gone off for a morning meeting before we meet up again for a review of the 2011 plans. I have to admit to being really excited with some of the news I’m going to be able to impart. I’ve been really lucky in securng a fantastic venue for a corporate event and I have lots of other ideas up my sleeve.
There’s lots to talk about and I’ve been very organised and prepared an agenda (otherwise I’ll start talking, talk nonstop for about 3 hours and at the end of it Ava will think she’s been beaten up with a baseball bat), I’ve printed off 2 copies and they’re in my bag with all the other exciting things to share.
I had a meeting today with a fantastic venue who are going to help me organise an amazing event in August that hopefully everyone will want to be involved in! There will be limited places for approximately 80 people and should be a real night to remember! As soon as I can confirm details I will let post the details and start taking reservations…
Watch this space peeps
OH and a huge thank you to Jonathan for his time this morning and offering so much help and support, really generous!
